Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Sahiwal Punjab has the authority to conduct annual and supply exams of SSC and HSSC exams in the district of Sahiwal and its nearby districts. Every year, 9th and 10th class annual exams are held in March and April while 11th and 12th class annual exams are conducted by the board in May and June. 9th class annual written exams are held in March while practical papers for science students are held in April. On the other hand, 11th class annual written exams are organized by the board in May while practical papers are held in June for the FSC students. All the public and private schools and colleges in the areas under jurisdiction of Sahiwal Board are affiliated with BISE Sahiwal while thousands of regular and private students appear in the annual exams of HSSC part 1 & 2 and SSC part 1 & 2 under Sahiwal Board every year.

Soon after the annual exams of matric and intermediate class, the checking of the paper starts while BISE Sahiwal announces the results within couple of months of the exams. Usually, the SSC and HSSC annual exams results are announced in June and August respectively. The students of Sahiwal Board are able to view their complete results of matric and intermediate soon after the result announcement at the official site of the board while they can also receive the result cards just few days after the announcement of the result by the board.

Supplementary exams of SSC and HSSC classes are also organized by BISE Sahiwal after the result announcement of the board according to a schedule. The failure students of annual exams take part in these exams while the supply exams results of matric and intermediate also known as improvement exam or 2nd annual are announced after one or two months of the supply exams.
